Once again we have teamed up with Merced High's Leo Club for a fun event. We set up food(of course we got free food), played volleyball, and threw water balloons. It was actually the first time the Lions Club has ever held this event this year.

Awe, freshmen. It's the start of a new school year and we're advertising Leo Club as much as we can. Yup, that's right. PHO!!! Every year someone is always graduating from school and is holding a huge party. They need volunteers, and that is what we are here for. We helped serve food and cleaned up. Easy hours, but yet, there's still fun. Look at these beautiful, dedicated members. We set up tables, chairs, umbrellas and served food. To be honest, we didn't do much. We were pretty laid back the whole time and even got free food! YES TO FREE FOOD!!!!! It was definitely a great event because most of us interacted with the people who came. They were such friendly guests. Did we participate in the marathon you say....Well we didn't run....Thank goodness!!! Instead, we gave drinks out to those who ran. Not only was El Capitan's Leo Club there, but El Capitan's KIWIN'S and Atwater's Cross Country was there as well. This event was located at the AMTRAK downtown in Merced. Digging holes and planting, yup! that's what we did. It was definitely a test of our strength. We went home with blisters, but hey we were fed and we made a difference in our community. Not only that we were in the Merced Sun Star. Want to see more information, click the link below.

Merced Anniversary was located near the Merced Court House. We picked up trash and served food, also Merced High Leo was there to help with us as well. Not only did we serve food, we got FREE food. I mean who doesn't like free food. There was a lot of loud music and many bands who came to perform. There was a pretty huge audience, you'd be surprise who you would had seen. Most of us even got to see our chemistry teacher!
I bet you're guessing what Camp Pacifica is right? Well Camp Pacifica is a yearly trip that we take in April. Leo members of Golden Valley, El Capitan, and Merced High are all welcomed. It is a free trip and you are gone for about 4 days. It's a great way to learn more about your club and yourself. Camp Pacifica will open you up to others and it's a great place to meet new friends. Also for my crazy dancers out there, there's always a dance. Want to know how to go? Go to Leo Club events and become an active member. I highly encourage you to go! Good luck!
